Chocolate Delight Cake
Incorporating the delicious flavour of Five Farms Irish Cream Liqueur combine with vanilla, this delicious chocolate cake will be sure to impress after you whip this gem up from home.
What you need:
- 1 sticks unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1/4 cup Five Farms Irish Cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
Steps to make it
Preheat oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and baking soda - set aside. In another bowl, add the milk, Five Farms Irish Cream, oil and vanilla - set aside. In the bowl of your mixer, add the softened butter and mix until smooth. Gradually add the sugar and continue to mix until lightened in color and fluffy. Add the eggs and mix until the well combined. Add the milk mixture, mix well. Then add the dry ingredients and mix, then transfer the batter to a baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Frosting
- ½ cup unsalted butter softened
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- ½ cup cocoa powder
Combine the butter and cream cheese in a large bowl, use an electric mixer or a stand mixer to beat until creamy. Add vanilla extract and salt and stir well to combine. Add powdered sugar and mix until completely combined.
Sift cocoa powder in and beat until well-incorporated into the frosting.
